About the Squirrel City Half
The Squirrel City Half earns its tagline honestly: this is a late-season race in Kent, and the course is hilly and cold. The city is known for its black squirrels, and the race leans into that identity throughout. Several distance options make it a season-closer for runners at different points in their training year.
The start and finish are in downtown Kent, which means coffee shops, restaurants, and breweries are within easy walking distance when you cross the line. Post-race food and drinks are part of the morning, and free race photos are included. Pickup is available before the gun goes off.
