About the 14th Annual Springfield Marathon & Harvest Wind Half Marathon & 10K
All distances start and finish at a vineyard east of downtown New Berlin, which gives the morning an unusual backdrop for a road race. The marathon route is Boston-qualifying and USATF certified, so the course is measured and accurate, and it draws runners who are chasing a specific time. The terrain and surroundings are rural, which fits the harvest-season setting.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race and again on race morning. Awards go to top finishers overall and within age brackets, and you need to be present at the awards tent to claim one.
