About the Southern Oregon Runners Turkey Trot Run

The race starts on Valley View Road in Talent, heading out on public roads and trails that stay open to regular traffic, so you share the path with cars and other users throughout. There are several distance options, from a short kids' dash up to a longer road run, and the morning is structured around the Thanksgiving holiday, with family-friendly pacing across the field.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local cider taphouse on the same street as the start, which is a decent excuse to stop in the night before. Race-morning pickup is also available for early arrivals. The race supports a food drive on-site, and a portion of entry fees goes toward youth running programs in the area.
