About the Southern Alamance Middle School Tigers 5k/Fun Run
This is a school fundraiser for the middle school's athletic booster club, so the crowd is students, families, and staff mixed with neighbors who came out to support the program. The atmosphere follows from that: more of a school morning than a road race.
Families are encouraged to bring a canned or pantry food donation for a local food-assistance organization. Those who bring one are entered into a raffle drawn at the end of the morning.
