About the Sodus Bay Lighthouse Museum 5K Run
The course starts and finishes at the Lighthouse, looping through the village streets and out to the beach before returning. It is a point-to-point-and-back shape, so you get a good look at the waterfront. The terrain is flat and the route passes through a small lakeside village, which keeps things quiet and scenic without any serious climbing.
Several parking areas serve the race: grassy lots a couple of blocks south of the Lighthouse, village lots near the fire hall and the baseball field, and a lot at the beach end of Wickham Boulevard. Some streets along the course are closed to parking on race morning, so check the posted signs and give yourself a little extra time.
