About the So You Think You Can Run 5K
The course runs along paved roads near a lake, with foliage views that make the out-and-back feel more scenic than a typical road race. It is flat the whole way, which tends to bring out people chasing a personal best alongside those just getting a feel for the distance. The race benefits a local dance company.
Packet pickup on race morning is at the Dock Store, so plan to arrive with enough time to get sorted before the start. Age group awards go deep across the field, and teams that show up in force are recognized separately.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The So You Think You Can Run 5K has been held every year since at least 2014. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 20, 2026.
