About the Snowbowl 15K
The course starts at the ski area base lodge and spends the first half climbing steadily on dirt and double-track roads to the top of the chairlift. From there, a long stretch of single-track called Beargrass Highway carries you back down to the start. The descent is the payoff: flowy and sustained, through open terrain with views across the Missoula Valley and toward the Rattlesnake mountains.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local running store, with an option at the base area on race morning. After you finish, there is a catered lunch at the lodge and Big Sky Brewing beer at the finish.

The Snowbowl 15K has been held every year since at least 2015. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
