About the Snoqualmie Valley St. Patrick's Day Fun Run

This is a St. Patrick's Day run hosted out of Sound to Summit Running Company in Snoqualmie, and the atmosphere leans heavily into the holiday. Costumes and green gear are part of the culture here, and there is a costume prize for the most spirited outfit. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank, so the entry fee does some extra work.

Packet pickup and the start area are based at the running store. Local sponsors including a coffee shop and a running retailer contribute gift cards to the prize table. The kids' short dash runs alongside the main event, making the morning work for families who want to bring younger kids along.

Common Questions About the Snoqualmie Valley St. Patrick's Day Fun Run

Will I finish last at the Snoqualmie Valley St. Patrick's Day Fun Run?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 42:58, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:14:03, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Snoqualmie Valley St. Patrick's Day Fun Run a good first 5K?

It is a small race (63 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Snoqualmie Valley St. Patrick's Day Fun Run?

The 5K winner ran 21:29 while the median finisher took 42:58. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
