About the SLS Dash 5K for Neurodiversity
The course winds through what will become the future home of the SLS Community campus, tucked below rolling hills near the start of the Razorback Greenway. It is a superhero-themed event, and most people actually show up in costume, from capes to repurposed Halloween gear. The race supports a local nonprofit that provides housing and employment services for neurodivergent adults.
Post-race, there is quite a bit going on: food trucks, a vendor village, a mobile art lab, and a family activity zone. Pathway Cafe, a culinary training program for people with disabilities, provides coffee and snacks. The crowd tends to include runners, walkers, wheelchair participants, and families, all sharing the same course.
