About the Slinger Kiwanis Heads UP 5K Run/Walk
The course starts at a ski resort and covers a mix of paved roads, trail, and a short gravel connector. One of the more distinctive stretches runs through the pit area of a local oval speedway. The route also passes through a section of a nationally designated scenic trail, so the terrain shifts noticeably as you go.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before the race at the high school, during a local festival. Race-morning pickup is available at the ski resort start area.

The Slinger Kiwanis Heads UP 5K Run/Walk has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
