About the Sky's Golden Birthday Fun Run
This is a memorial run held in honor of Skylar Sites, a runner and fitness trainer whose energy touched a lot of people. The event falls close to Halloween, and a costume contest is part of the morning. Proceeds go toward a scholarship fund for graduating students heading into medical careers, carrying forward something Skylar cared about.
The race welcomes runners and walkers alike. It is built around community and remembrance more than competition, so the atmosphere reflects that. Post-registration details and course specifics are light, but the purpose behind the event is clear from the moment you show up.
