About the Simon's Surf City 5K Run/Walk

The course runs through the streets of Surf City, flat and close to the shore, starting and finishing at the local firehouse. Proceeds are split between a scholarship and hardship relief foundation and the volunteer fire and EMS department that serves the town, so there is a clear local purpose behind the entry fee.

Packet pickup happens at the firehouse the evening before the race, with a second window on race morning before the start. The firehouse serves as the hub for both pickup and the start line, so everything is in one place.
