About the Silken Twine Charity's 7th annual Sophie's Steps Run and Walk
Sophie's Steps takes place at Lukens Park and is built around supporting children with pediatric cancer and their families. The route is short and unhurried, with no competitive pressure. The event is named for Sophie Malaviya, who the Silken Twine foundation honors through this annual gathering, and that purpose is felt throughout the morning.
Registration opens before the start, so you can show up, get sorted, and still have time to settle in. Water and light snacks are out for participants, and there is a raffle running through the event, plus a separate prize for whoever covers the most ground on the day.
