About the Sherman Lake YMCA Turkey Trot
The course runs through camp trails and paved roads at the Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center, so the footing changes as you go. It is an untimed event, which shapes how the morning feels: people show up in turkey costumes and festive gear, and the pace is whatever you want it to be. There are a couple of distance options to pick from.
After the finish, there is pumpkin pie. The crowd on Thanksgiving morning leans toward families and people in costume rather than anyone chasing a clock, so the atmosphere at the end matches the rest of the event.
