About the Sheriff's Shuffle 5k Run Walk
The Sheriff's Shuffle runs around Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke, raising money for domestic violence programs run by a local YWCA. The reservoir setting keeps the course relatively flat and open, with water alongside much of the route. The race carries real weight behind it, organized with the county sheriff's office and oriented around a cause rather than competition.
After the race, the gathering moves to the Holyoke Elks, where post-race entertainment is part of the morning. Day-of registration is available there as well, so you do not need to have everything sorted in advance.
