About the 2026 SHAY 5K Run/Walk
This race is held in memory of Shaylyn Anela Pinoliar, and the crowd reflects that. Family groups, friends, and neighbors come out together, many of them returning year after year. The course starts from a middle school, and the surrounding area is flat agricultural terrain, the kind of ground that suits all paces without demanding much from anyone.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before the race at the Delano Chamber of Commerce on High Street, with late pickup and registration available race morning before the start. Awards follow within a couple of hours of the finish, with a raffle closing out the morning.
