About the Sgt. Ruff's Color Run

The course runs out and back along the Lenoir city greenway, starting and finishing at a soccer complex parking lot. Volunteers post up along the route and blast runners with colored powder the whole way through, so you finish looking nothing like you started. It is a real race with overall and age group awards, but plenty of people walk it, and leashed dogs are welcome on the course.

Packet pickup and day-of registration both happen at the same greenway parking lot where the race starts, so there is no separate trip to make. The event kicks off with a color party before anyone heads out, and registration reopens on race morning as a cash-only option for anyone who missed the online window.
