About the Sgt. Nevada Krinkee Memorial 5k

The race is held at Thorne Rider Park, a community green space in Sheridan. It honors a local police sergeant killed in the line of duty, and the proceeds go to the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter. First responder vehicles, including a fire truck and ambulance, are on display for kids and adults to tour, and there are inflatables for younger attendees.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a hotel sponsor location across town, with morning pickup available at the park before the race starts. Parking is west of the ball field. The park also serves as the race-morning check-in and activity area, so arriving a bit early gives you time to look around before the start.
