The course runs through the grounds of a lakeside resort, with a park setting close to the water. There are no chip times, just a display at the finish line, so this one is firmly about the cause rather than the clock. Registration fees go directly to a regional breast cancer coalition that serves patients and survivors across the area.
Check-in is at the Vista building on the resort property. The race was organized by a college student as part of an undergraduate honors program, which gives the whole morning a personal, handmade quality rather than a corporate event feel.
