The 5K runs as a night race through Historic Downtown Wauchula, finishing at Heritage Park on Main Street. Running after dark through a historic downtown gives it a different feel from a typical morning road race. The course is road surface throughout, and the finish area at the park pavilion is where awards are handed out afterward.
