The course runs along the Sea Isle City Promenade, so you have the ocean alongside you for the whole route. It is a flat out-and-back on a paved boardwalk path, open to the salt air, with the kind of scenery that makes the miles pass without much thought. The race benefits nursing and allied health scholarships through a local hospital foundation.
