About the Screenland 5K

The route follows Culver and Washington Boulevards through the heart of a neighborhood built on a century of filmmaking. Along the way, local artists have placed paintings and props at spots where famous scenes were actually shot, and performers in costume play out moments from classic movies and television. Bands, musicians, and dancers are posted along the course, so the pace tends to slow at corners.

Start and finish at Ivy Station, where free underground parking is available if you arrive early. Overflow parking sits a short walk away in a downtown garage, and the Metro line stops right at the start. After the run, there is a costume contest and a kids dash on the same grounds.
