About the Scotty Gomez 5K Run or Walk

The course follows the Ship Creek trail near downtown Anchorage, a path that runs along the creek through an urban stretch with water on one side. The terrain is flat and paved, so the effort stays manageable from start to finish. Runners are encouraged to wear a hockey or sports jersey, which gives the starting area a different look than most race mornings.

Before and after the race, the organizers hold a raffle with a large spread of door prizes. Pick up your raffle tickets when you arrive so you are in for both rounds.
