About the 2026 Scooty's Run 5K
Scooty's Run is a virtual event held in honor of Will Taylor, whose nickname the race carries. It raises awareness and funds for a nonprofit focused on mental health culture for young people. Participants run or walk a wherever they happen to be, though in-person meetups are organized in several cities for those who want to run with others.
The Seattle meetup gathers at the Green Lake Aqua Theater before heading out. Other cities have meetups as well, with times and exact locations varying by site. The virtual format means anyone without a nearby meetup can still participate from their own neighborhood on the same morning.
