About the Scio Scramble
The course starts beside the firehouse and heads out on city streets before connecting to a paved rails-to-trails path. Along the trail you pass through local foliage and cross a covered bridge. The route is flat throughout, with the finish line near the town library. It is an out-and-back, so the second half is familiar ground.
Registration happens at the firehouse, which also serves as the post-race gathering spot. Restrooms and showers are available there for runners. After the race, awards are handed out alongside ice cream and drinks. The whole event runs as part of the local summer street fair happening the same evening.
