About the Scheels North Texas Turkey Trot 2026
The course runs through downtown Frisco on Thanksgiving morning, with options from a short mile-long route up through a longer run. Dogs on fixed leashes are welcome, and strollers are fine as long as they line up toward the back. It reads like a neighborhood holiday tradition more than a competitive road race.
Packet pickup happens at the Scheels store in The Colony in the days before the race, with several windows spread across the week leading up to Thanksgiving. Race-morning pickup is not offered, so sorting that out early saves stress. Someone else can grab your packet if they have written confirmation from you.
