About the Scaredy Cat K95K
This is a dog-friendly course open to pets and people together, with costumes encouraged on both ends of the leash. The route is a standard road distance, nothing technical, designed so that four legs are as welcome as two. The whole thing benefits animal welfare charities, and the atmosphere around the start reflects that: people tend to show up in character, and the dogs mostly do too.
The morning runs alongside a health and fitness fair with food trucks, a beer tent, live music, and vendor booths, plus doggy demonstrations throughout. There is face painting early in the day. The fair wraps up by early afternoon, so plan to stay a while after you finish the course.
