About the 17th Annual Saybrook Point 5k Road Race
The race runs through Old Saybrook, starting near the point, with coastal surroundings that make a morning out feel worthwhile even before the finish. The course is a road race, so expect pavement underfoot and a route that moves through the town itself.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at Marathon Sports in Old Saybrook, with race-morning pickup available as well. The race benefits a local scholarship fund and an academic award for high school seniors from the area, so there is a genuine community purpose behind the entry fee. Costume prizes are part of the mix this year.
