About the Save the Texas Tinsel Trot
The Tinsel Trot runs through downtown McGregor to benefit the restoration of the Texas Theatre, a local landmark the race is built around. The course is open to strollers and dogs, so the morning tends to mix solo runners with families pushing little ones and plenty of leashed companions alongside.
The start is in downtown McGregor, close to the theatre itself. Post-race, the gathering stays near the heart of town, which keeps things easy whether you ran or just came to watch.
