About the Save the Manatee 5K
The course runs along the Spring-to-Spring Trail beside Blue Spring State Park, a flat paved path through the kind of terrain that draws manatees back each winter. The park is their seasonal home, and on race morning the spring run is often where you will find them gathering. The race benefits the organization working to protect them.
Packet pickup happens the week before at a running store in Lake Mary, with race-morning pickup available at the park starting well before the gun. Parking is inside the park, and the entry fee covers admission, so there is nothing extra to sort out at the gate.
