About the Sardis Fire and Rescue Run

The course starts and finishes at a former golf course on the edge of Sardis, which gives the route some open ground and a natural setting that most small-town road races do not have. Pets are welcome, so expect a few dogs on leashes mixed in with the runners and walkers. Drinks and light refreshments are waiting at the finish.

The race benefits the local volunteer fire department, and that shapes the whole morning. The volunteers who show up for this community year-round are the reason the event exists.
