The course starts at a school in Spring Valley and runs mostly flat ground with a couple of gentle rises. Holiday-themed aid stops along the way carry cookies, candy, and hot chocolate. Age group awards are Christmas ornaments. The race benefits the Hall Township Food Pantry, and participants are encouraged to bring canned goods toward a sponsor raffle.
