About the Santa Shuffle 5k Fun Run & Walk
The Santa Shuffle starts and ends at the Livestock Showbarn in Nixon, which gives the whole morning a distinctly local, small-town feel. Holiday-themed costumes are encouraged, and there are outfit awards for both individuals and groups, so plenty of people show up dressed for the occasion.
Proceeds go toward supporting local student and amateur endurance athletes, covering things like scholarships, coaching clinics, and equipment assistance, so the race has a clear purpose behind it beyond the fun.
