About the Santa Scuttle
This is a race put on each year by the senior class at Comanche High School, run through the streets and around the town square as part of a broader Christmas weekend in town. The course brings you through the heart of the celebration, and the crowd there is mostly locals who came out for the festivities anyway.
The race starts in the afternoon rather than early morning, which gives it a different feel from the usual dawn-gun start. Runners are encouraged to come in Christmas costume, and the scene on the square after has the energy of a holiday block party already in progress.

The Santa Scuttle has been held every year since at least 2014. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 18, 2026.
