About the Santa's Spirit Sprint 5k & 1 Mile Run or Walk
This race in Barnesville is built around a holiday charity drive for local children, so the atmosphere leans toward costumes, jingle bells, and families more than competition. Runners, walkers, and chair athletes are all welcome, and participants can enter a shorter course, a longer one, or take on both.
A parade runs through town shortly after the awards, and many participants walk over to catch it. At the finish there are hot dogs, pizza, homemade cookies, and hot cocoa. Packet pickup and start-area details are not something the organizer spelled out, so arriving with a little extra time is a safe call.
