About the Santa's CHRISTMAS EXPLOSION Run

This is an evening run through Springfield, with the streets dressed in Christmas lights and holiday decorations along the course. Santa leads the longer distances and other characters send off the shorter one, so there is a costume-and-characters energy throughout rather than a straight racing atmosphere. Hot chocolate with toppings is at the finish.

Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at Fleet Feet Springfield, with an option to pick up at the event site in the hour or so before the start. The race runs into the evening, so plan for cold and dark.
