About the Santa Rosa Turkey Trot
The race starts and finishes at a historic square in the heart of downtown Santa Rosa, tracing a figure-eight through the surrounding city streets. Part of the route runs along the Prince Memorial Greenway beside Santa Rosa Creek, which adds a trail stretch to an otherwise urban course. If the creek floods, the organizers have a backup route ready that stays on city streets.
Bib pickup happens at a local running store in the days before Thanksgiving, with a final window on race morning at the start area. Parking in the city garages is free on Thanksgiving Day, and the organizers specifically point runners toward one garage that drops you directly into the start area. Dogs and strollers are welcome; dogs should line up toward the back.
