About the Santa Paws 5k-9 and 10K-9 Run/Walk - Gainesville
The race runs through Albert Ray Massey Park on Gainesville's west side, a setting that lends itself to a morning with dogs on the course alongside their owners. The event supports a local humane society working to place homeless pets, so the crowd leans toward people who brought their pets and genuinely care about where the entry fee goes.
Pickup for packets happens on race morning, so there is no separate trip the day before. Awards go to the top finishers in both distances for men and women. A local real estate group organizes the whole thing, and vendors are typically on site.
