About the Santa Fun Run and Walk a mile
The course runs along Market Street in downtown Parkersburg, starting and finishing at Bicentennial Park. It is a short, flat route you can walk with a toddler or run at a sprint, all in support of the Children's Home Society. The park serves as a Christmas Village before and after, with coffee, hot chocolate, and sweet treats on hand.
Santa makes an appearance at the park gathering area, and there is festive music throughout. The entry is a small donation that goes directly toward the Children's Home Society's work, and the start and finish are both at Bicentennial Park, so the whole morning stays in one spot.
