About the Sandyston Recreation Gobble Hobble
This is a Thanksgiving morning race put on by Sandyston Township Recreation, so the crowd skews local and the atmosphere feels more like a neighborhood gathering than a road race. A separate kids' event runs alongside, where young runners chase someone dressed as a turkey around a walking path behind the municipal building.
Results post online in real time throughout the morning, and each finisher gets an email the moment they cross the line. Age group awards go out as digital certificates by email, while overall and masters winners are recognized on the spot.
