About the Sandwich Turkey Trot 5k
This is a Thanksgiving-season road race starting from Lions Road, in what appears to be a park or community facility in Sandwich. The course is a standard road distance, and the race is geared toward the whole range of paces, from those chasing age-group awards to people out for a morning walk before the holiday table. Age-group awards go several deep in each category.
Parking is at the start line itself, which makes race morning straightforward. It is a first-year race, which tends to mean a smaller, more personal atmosphere than an established event.
