About the Sandhill Shuffle 5k Run/Walk
The course winds through the streets of Wheatfield, starting and finishing at Centennial Park. A diner and a meat market sit right across from the start, which gives the finish area a neighborhood feel. Proceeds go toward a playground project at the park, so the race has a local purpose behind it.
Race-morning registration and packet pickup open well before the gun. Awards go deep into age groups, including Athena, Clydesdale, and non-binary categories, and are handed out once the field has finished.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Sandhill Shuffle 5k Run/Walk has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
