About the San Joaquin River Trail 10k/25k/50k
The course follows the river corridor and the lakeshore on natural trail, starting and finishing at the South Finegold Picnic Area at the end of a road that dead-ends at the water. Expect exposed stretches, uneven footing, and the kind of quiet that comes from being well away from pavement.
Packet pickup and check-in both happen at the start area on race morning, so arriving with time to spare matters. Parking is at the picnic area itself. Aid stations are spaced out along the course with water, sports drink, gels, fruit, and snacks. The longer distance allows crew access and drop bags at a management area deeper into the canyon.
