About the Salute to Veterans 5K/10K/Half Marathon - Chattanooga
The course runs along the Tennessee River Walk, an out-and-back on road. It is mostly flat with just enough gentle variation to keep it interesting, and the river is with you the whole way. Several self-serve water stations are spread along the route, though runners who prefer not to stop may want to carry their own hydration.
Race-morning check-in is the standard setup, opening well before the gun. The start area is right on the River Walk, so arrival is straightforward.
