About the Runtastic HAUNTED Provo
The half marathon drops down Provo Canyon into the city, so most of the distance is a long, gradual descent before the route winds through what the organizers call Spook Alley and a graveyard section near the finish. Costumes are the norm here, and a contest at the start draws a crowd before the gun goes off. The shorter option stays in town.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at an expo with vendor deals; you will need a photo ID, or a copy of someone else's if you are picking up for them. On race morning, buses carry half marathoners to the canyon start from a lot near the finish line. Parking on race day is at that same finish-line location.
