Running With Ella skips the podium and the clock entirely. The race honors the memory of Ella Page and raises money for an emergency scholarship fund at a local college. It lands on the same morning as a large arts festival downtown, so the finish line flows right into the festival's opening, and the crowd reflects that overlap.
