About the Running Wild 5K
The course runs through Wickham Park, a proper trail run with enough going on underfoot that you want to watch your step. Strollers are not welcome, which tells you something about the terrain. The race benefits Florida Wildlife Hospital, and awards go deep into the age groups, so most people leave with something to take home.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a local running store on Wickham Road. On race morning, pickup opens early at the park itself and closes shortly before the start. The awards ceremony happens right after the last finisher comes through, and post-race food and refreshments are on site.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Running Wild 5K has been held every year since at least 2019. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
