About the Running Wild 5K Run & 3K Scavenger Hunt Walk

The course runs through St. Patrick's County Park, mixing wooded trails, open fields, grass, and gravel paths. Footing is the main thing to watch: tree roots, loose gravel, and ruts are part of the experience, and the trails can get muddy. There is also a scavenger hunt walk option that covers similar ground at an easier pace, and dogs on leashes are welcome for that one.

Bib pickup runs the evening before at the Pfeil Pavilion, with a second window on race morning at the Red Barn, which also handles same-day registration. After the race, breakfast is set out near the finish: egg bake, fresh fruit, and homemade granola cookies. Door prizes donated by local vendors and park foundations are drawn on-site, so it is worth sticking around.
