The course runs along a creek on paved trail, starting and finishing at Jamison Park. It stays flat the whole way, which makes it friendly for anyone trying to push a pace. Both distances share the same start area, and there are self-serve water stations spaced out along the route, though runners who do not want to slow down may want to carry their own.

Packet pickup happens race morning, opening about an hour before the first wave goes off. The start and finish at Jamison Park is where the Halloween atmosphere concentrates, with music and food at both ends of the day.
