About the Running Scared 5K/13K - Portland (Washougal)

The course follows a paved river trail out and back from Captain William Clark Park. The flat terrain along the water is genuinely fast, with nothing technical underfoot and the river beside you the whole way. Self-serve water stations are spaced along the route, so bringing your own hydration is worth considering if you plan to move without stopping.

Packet pickup happens on race morning, opening an hour before the first wave goes off. There is no separate day-before pickup unless the organizers add one.
